We are firm believers in the saying, "Follow your bliss." Art is our bliss and through art we experience the world and work to help others.
For over 30 years, Doug was employed as a corporate photographer for a Fortune 100 company. He met thousands of interesting people in over 50 countries, traveled dirt roads and major highways around the world, and saw his photographs published in annual reports and advertisements. When one of his early pieces appeared in an ad in National Geographic, he knew he was living his dream.
Eileen’s interest in photography was ignited when she and Doug married in 1998. She has now joined him using their talents in photography to support common good causes.
In addition to Doug's full-time professional photography career, he has been involved in four shows with other artists, had a one-man show, and created a multimedia show that ran for several years in a dinner theater. The multimedia show premiered at a black tie affair to an audience of 1500 people.
Eileen's work has been exhibited in "Hidden Talent Inside our Corporate Community" and a joint show with other artists.
In November 2009, Doug and Eileen collaborated on the"Gathering Light" exhibit at Picture This Gallery, Peoria Heights. Read the Peoria Journal Star's review of the show. Eileen and Doug have previously worked together on the Peoria Art Guild’s "Illinois River Stories, A Journey With Regional Photographers" and " A Contemporary Look at Lincoln's Visits to the Peoria Area."
